‘Wees vogel’ is the result of a third collab as MAJINGGOL & DE BOER. Me and Ugou Majinggol present a conceptual poetry painting installation.

Consisting of 15 canvases surrounded by a frame incorporating a poem, the work depicts a gathering storm from the right. People seeking shelter. Surrounded by bird paintings, it tells a story of transition, freedom, liberation from the rat race, a safe return home, abundance, a Palestinian state, a yellow-blue hummingbird battling a matryoshka doll, corpse snatchers, stuffed birds symbolizing cooperation and optimism, fear, death, and finally, wisdom. After which, naturally, transition follows.

The installation was specially made for the BIGart event at Het Slotervaart in Amsterdam.
